The Bellevue Arts Museum is hosting the largest, award-winning arts & crafts festival in the Northwest this Friday – Sunday, July 26-28, 2019, the BAM ARTSfair! The BAM ARTSfair is committed to handmade excellence and supporting national designers, artists, and craftspeople. Bring your friends and family to shop from over 300 inspiring artists showcasing unique, handmade craft and art. This marketplace represents modern, traditional, and emerging work.
Rebecca Lynn Dash will be one of the featured artists at BAM ARTSfair this year. A Seattle-area native who currently lives in Durango, Colorado, Rebecca’s art is deep and rich, utilizing Renaissance techniques often with a mysterious element that can border on surrealism. This is particularly true of some of her earlier work (check out her very cool “Unraveling” series with birch trees on her website).
More recently, Rebecca has been focusing a body of her work on female scientists, including Cecilia Payne, Henrietta Swan Leavitt and Katherine Johnson (all available to see on her website). Her goal is to celebrate these unsung heroines and recognize their immense contributions to science. She’ll be debuting two new paintings in this series at the ARTSfair.
Head over to the BAM ARTSfair this weekend and check out Rebecca’s work!
