Elysian re-released Schwartz the Beer, the most recent of Elysian’s, Capitol Hill Series and the third of five to be released in 2018. Schwartz the Beer, staying true to the traditional style, features roasted barley, chocolate, and several malts. If you are a fan of this style of beer you will not be disappointed by Elysian’s offering! All proceeds from Schwartz the Beer sales during the event went to KEXP.
The outstanding performance by The Moondoggies, perfectly complimented the brew and kept the crowd going in true KEXP spirit. The Moondoggies were without question the center of a classic Seattle event, at a fantastic level! Amazing music, great beer, and a “Capitol Hill crowd” ensured a night of delight!
The Moondoggies lead singer, Kevin Murphy, and his bandmates Caleb Quick, Bobby Terreberry, Carl Dahlen, and Jon Pontrello pushed a great set all night, delighting the audience with their depth and range. Having traveled around Europe enjoying many bands, I was entranced by the Moondoggies’ sound, which reminded me of my time in Ireland and attending several concerts put on by The Frames.
KEXP (90.3) is a fantastic station not only for music lovers and artists, but for all of Seattle. Every day, KEXP provides free and low-barrier access to live music performances to both educate and illuminate its listeners. The Station is an inspiration well worthy of your support!
