I moved out to the Seattle area just over five years ago, and Ivar’s has become one of my favorite places to eat seafood. I am exciting to share their upcoming Mardi Gras menu with you!
Available now through Fat Tuesday (February 13), Ivar’s Acres of Clams, Salmon House and Mukilteo Landing are hosting the “Month of Mardi Gras” where guests can experience a little of the taste of New Orleans without leaving the PNW!
Acres of Clams will start with Fried Okra & Dungeness Crab Cake or House-Smoked Bacon Wrapped Spicy Shrimp Skewers. Entrées include Wild Alaska Coho Salmon with Creole crayfish sauce and black bean dirty rice and a better-than-classic Spiced Grilled Wild Shrimp and Grits.
The Salmon House will feature shareable Mini Crawfish Cakes! Follow that with the Cajun Fried Oregon Coast Petrale Sole, or jazz up your palate with French Quarter Shrimp and Andouille Jambalaya, then finish it all off with Blueberry Beignets.
Mukilteo Landing puts a spicy southern touch to their dishes, which includes a classic Seafood Gumbo with seafood, chicken and Andouille sausage, a Creole Shrimp Bake with dirty rice, and a rich flavored Crab and Shrimp Étouffée served with poblano pepper-paprika sauce.
Be sure to sip or imbibe on a classic Hurricane, Vieux Carré or other specialty cocktail at each restaurant!
Also, save the date for Ivar’s Mardi Gras Party! On February 13, celebrate Fat Tuesday at Ivar’s Salmon House as they feature an exciting array of food, drink, music and prizes. Details coming soon!
