On Friday, September 23, 2016 I had the chance to join other Seattle-area bloggers at the Bellevue Fashion Week Trend Presentation with Vogue Magazine‘s Market Stylist, Cara Crowley at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.
Each of the bloggers received lunch and a beautiful Vogue fashion coloring book! I for one am very excited to grab my colored pencils and spend some time relaxing with my Colors A to Z!
Cara’s fourth year presenting at Bellevue Fashion Week did not disappoint. She came out on the runway stage wearing a gorgeous Louis Vuitton blush pink dress and nude sandals. She opened the presentation with the hilarious Vogue video sketch between comedienne Amy Schumer and Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, which you can view here. The sketch shows a side of Vogue that the media doesn’t normally portray, the fun and light side of the magazine. Cara also introduced an additional video of Vogue following models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, and she believes that those two are bringing back what it means to be a supermodel.
Cara then began the fashion presentation, which heavily emphasizes the new trend of See Now, Buy Now.
Cara also showed a video previewing the spring 2017 fashion trends, which included beautiful, bold colors and floral accents. In the video, Anna Wintour said the spring trends are a “celebration of romance and positive thinking.”
Four models joined Cara on the runway to showcase some of the pieces trending for this fall season. She also mentioned that Zara is the go-to store for many Vogue employees. She often mix and matches brands, for example, wearing a Zara dress with Louis Vuitton shoes.
