On Friday, September 18, 2015, Seattleites made their mark by raising over $100,000 for Inspire Youth Project and Warren Moon’s, The Crescent Moon Foundation at Fashion First Seattle, held at the Showbox SoDo.
“2015 was our 12th year running Fashion First and it turned out be historic in so many ways,” said show producer, Joan Kelly. “This was our first year supporting two beneficiaries which enabled us to support children of Western Washington from young childhood through becoming a young adult. The outpouring of generous donations from our audience was inspiring and heartwarming. This was truly an incredible year.”
KIRO radio’s John Curley hosted the live auction with fabulous gifts such as Showbox concert tickets (2 tickets every month for one year), wine and dinner at Cantinetta for eight people, a BMW driving adventure in Palm Springs, a Russell Wilson autographed jersey, and much more.
Shane Co. also set up a fun selfie-station and offered a beautiful jewelry set to one lucky winner. “As a fashion brand, we are always eager to team up with the local fashion community, so Fashion First Seattle was a natural fit for us,” said Shane Co. “Also, Shane Co. is deeply committed to supporting the local organizations and institutions that our customers and the community value, such as Inspire Youth Project and The Crescent Moon Foundation.”
Hosted by Inspire Youth Project’s Board of Trustees member, Scott Carnz, 106 beautiful outfits graced the runway from designers La Ree, Annette Dresser for J. Hilburn, Intermix, Shane Co., The Brik, Elizabeth Jane, Ragamoffyn’s, Elizabeth Roberts, Canopy Blue. David Lawrence, and students from The Art Institute of Seattle.
