Hard Rock Cafe Seattle Rocking Local Fare!

To have a successful restaurant in Seattle without having a menu containing multiple locally sourced and sustainable choices is becoming less and less likely, and for good reason. To live in the Pacific Northwest is to live with some of the best produce, seafood, meat, poultry, wine, and beer in the world. For local eateries to not take this into account when planning their menu is as close to cutting your nose off to spite your face without actually brandishing a knife, as a business can come. The wise and innovative folks over at the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle have acknowledged this fact by introducing quite a few new locally sourced menu items to an already formidable culinary experience.

The introduction to the Hard Rock Cafe’s new Seattle menu started with a lovely evening on Hard Rock’s rooftop deck, overlooking the Puget Sound, for a cocktail hour and passed appetizers. (Even many locals are unaware that this beautiful deck exists. Even if you are not out for dinner, I highly suggest taking friends up to see the view of the Sound and Pike Place Market). Following the initial reception, we headed down to the Hard Rock’s splendid second floor, an area which is ideal for private parties, with its own bar, stage, and kitchen. Executive Chef Erickson Pak has teamed the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle up with Pike Place Fish, Pacific Seafoods, Beecher’s Cheese, Macrina Bakery, Woodinville Whiskey, Georgetown Brewing, and several other outstanding companies to bring a showcase of Pacific Northwest fresh, responsibly-sourced ingredients and hand-crafted, locally-inspired dishes only a few yards away from historic Pike Place Market, in the heart of downtown. Some of the locally inspired favorites included Salmon Bacon Chowder, served in a delicious Macrina sourdough bread bowl; the Java Lava Legendary Burger, with an expresso-rubbed Angus Beef Burger, jalapeno lava sauce, smoked bacon, and cheddar cheese; Beecher’s Cheese Curds with a minted sour cream, and many other delicious options!

Out of over 170 Hard Rock Cafes worldwide, Hard Rock Seattle is one of only 12 in the world and six in the United States that is currently pursuing a regionally-inspired menu. Given the success of the new and delicious options here at the Seattle Hard Rock, it is probable that many more will follow suit in markets in which it is viable. Hard Rock Cafe has a reputation worldwide for excellent food, great service, and a fun party atmosphere. The Seattle Hard Rock is maintaining that phenomenal reputation and enhancing it even further by highlighting what we here in the Puget Sound already know. If you are looking for world-class scenery, fare, and libations, look no further than the Pacific North West. Rock on, Hard Rock, we at What’s up Northwest can’t wait to party with you again soon!
