Seattle Chocolates Company recently sent me a sample of their newest product launch, Seattle Chocolates A Super Chocolate Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar Powered by CoffeeFlour® & Cocoa Nibs. The bar is made with one of the newest superfood ingredients, CoffeeFlour®. Seattle Chocolates A Super Chocolate is the second CoffeeFlour® infused chocolate bar offering from the company. A Super Chocolate is a rich and creamy dark chocolate bar perfectly mixed with roasted cocoa nibs – adding a subtle and flavorful crunch. The jcoco arabica cherry espresso in dark chocolate bar features the nutrient-dense super-ingredient made from dried coffee cherry pulp, enhancing the new chocolate bar with a berry-forward flavor balanced with jcoco’s signature dark chocolate.
I had never heard of CoffeeFlour® before so I had to do my research. It’s basically flour created from the fruit that surrounds coffee beans that is normally discarded. The CoffeeFlour® website explains:

The website contains a fascinating animated video (which I highly recommend watching) on the potential global impact of CoffeeFlour™ on the world’s economy and on the lives on those who work for the coffee industry. This is definitely a product I plan to keep my eye on in the future.
Upon tasting Seattle Chocolates Company’s newest creation, it definitely has the signature dark chocolate taste, a little sweet, a little bitter with a hint of smoke and the cocoa nibs add a nice coarse crunch to the bar. The cherry flavor does not dominate the taste of the chocolate but overall the flavor profile is very pleasing to the palate. I can only imagine how decadent the chocolate would be paired with a red wine (which I plan to try very soon).
I am incredibly excited that Seattle Chocolates Company is creating a line of delicious products using sustainable methods that have an immense and positive impact on not only the global marketplace but for individual families that rely on the coffee industry to put food on their table.
